About Julie Smith

Julie Smith is a Crime Prevention Specialist with the Naperville Police Department. Julie shares with us almost 20 law enforcement experience, including eight years as a police officer with the Addison Police Department. Julie is the coordinator of the City’s Crime Free Multi-Housing Program, an Elderly Service Officer, a Certified Security Assessment Specialist, AARP Smart Driver Instructor, and a Critical Incident Instructor for the ALICE & CRASE rapid response programs. Julie conducts numerous presentations throughout Naperville to audiences of all ages on various crime prevention topics.
